I just watched an interview with a director who is releasing an independent feature-length film on Sept. 30, about 7 hours before my book is released. He was asked if he was excited. He said, “No, it’s terrifying.” I found myself nodding in agreement. It is scary to put yourself out there. I completely share his sentiment.
When it comes to Steve, Jayne's obscure social worker, there is much more than meets the eye. He's old-fashioned, stays cool in any situation, and believes in duty and responsibility over anything else. As far as good guys go, he's definitely one of them, but it wouldn't kill him to crack a smile, and maybe buy a car that was made in the past two decades.
